RVL Bible Conference

We spent Memorial Day weekend at Gull Lake Ministries with the Steffen family and attended the Ray VanderLaan (RVL) Bible Conference.  It was a weekend of tremendous teaching and learning about God's Word.  He spoke primarily on the letters to the seven churches from Revelation 2-3.  I very much enjoy his teaching. 

GLM is always a highlight for our family.  We enjoy the activities and the great food!

There were some storms on Sunday and we had to hunker down in the hallways of the ministry center until it passed, but thankfully no damage was done in the area we were.

Conrad Cabin

The boys and I spent last night with my dad at my uncle's cabin.  He built a small cabin in his woods and we went up to spend the night there.  It's quite cozy and we had a fun time.  There's no electricity or running water but it does have a wood burning stove and we had kerosene lamps. 

It was pretty wet around there so we weren't able to do any hiking or anything but it was fun to get out and enjoy nature.

We spotted a rainbow this evening out behind our house and got a picture of it. 

Piano Recital

Emma has been taking piano lessons and had her first recital today.  She did an excellent job and I was so impressed w/ how much she has learned.  Great job Emma!
